Our two-year IGCSE education at the SMART Campus is an internationally recognised programme which gives a jump start to international curricula like IBDP.
What is Cambridge IGCSE ?
The Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is the world’s most popular international curriculum for 14 to 16 year olds.
Taken in over 100 countries worldwide, this internationally recognised programme is the equivalent of the GCSE in the United Kingdom and the International GCE O Level Examinations. Recognised by the universities and employers all over the world, the Cambridge IGCSE provides a strong foundation for higher level courses, such as the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
While the Cambridge IGCSE is international in outlook, it also retains local relevance. Students follow a broad and balanced curriculum, comprising the following subjects - Sciences, Mathematics, Languages, English Language and Literature, Humanities and Social Sciences, Creative and Professional and Business.
What GIIS offers?
IGCSE experts
Our IGCSE certified teaching community imparts education to students opting for IGCSE. Each teacher will be dedicated to giving 100% attention to the progress of every student. At GIIS, students are encouraged to have a solid foundation in English, Maths and Science.
Assessment
The IGCSE assessments are designed to test how good a student is in applying the knowledge rather than simply memorising information. Internal and External assessments by qualified professionals help chisel the student’s personality and academic prowess.
Best infrastructure
The GIIS SMART campus has ultra-modern classrooms, more than 40 new skill-based labs and studios, teaching everything from Robotics to Culinary skills, indoor sports fields with data analytics technology, and safety features like facial recognition for students.
Why IGCSE at GIIS Singapore?
Our 2022 IGCSE results speak quite eloquently for themselves. Hundred percent of the cohort secured ICE Distinction or Merit and 61% secured overall A* grades.
At GIIS, students start their Cambridge journey as early as Grade 6. The school offers Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme (CLSP) that helps the students acquire a firm foundation in the subjects that they would be studying at the IGCSE level. Unlike other schools that directly introduce the students to Cambridge in Grade 9, our students are prepared for IGCSE starting Grade 6 with CLSP.
Value Added Programs
We recognise that there are many skills which will be useful to our students in the future. This is why our Extra-Curricular Activities include Robotics, Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Coding boot camps.
Moderate Fee
Quality education is the birthright of every child. This is why we have steadfastly kept our fees moderate, while offering best-in-class teachers, facilities and methodologies.
Scholarships
GIIS Scholarships have been offered to students since 2008. The categories vary from academic to sports to merit-cum-means, attracting applications for entry into multiple curricula available.
