Managed by Switzerland-based International Baccalaureate organisation, the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) is specially crafted to spark inquisitiveness among students aged 3 to 12 and chisel them into life-long learners.

GIIS was the first school in Singapore to offer CBSE and is one of the few schools here to be accredited by CBSE to offer the curriculum.

Chinese-English programme is designed to allow students to be fluent communicators in both languages, providing them with an edge over peers and giving them better proficiency and a thicker learner profile for future.
The Bilingual Programme at GIIS is closely aligned with the inquiry-based framework - where teachers work with primary grade students to offer equal exposure to English and Mandarin and work with them to increase their knowledge of the curricula through both languages.
Open to all nationalities, our bilingual programme will commence from January 2021 for students of Grades 1 to 5.
Equal exposure is offered to students in both Mandarin and English through a number of effective teaching approaches:
- Based on inquiry-based IB PYP framework
- Two experienced teachers in Mandarin and English assigned per class
- Lessons are conducted in Mandarin and English on alternate days
- Students gain an immersive experience by learning about Chinese culture and history along with English
